Save money on international phone calls and help fund Free SoftwareYou don't need to open any account or give your credit card details to anyone or even to buy special phone cards. All you have to do is to dial our access number before you dial the international number you want to call and instead of paying international call charges you will pay only for a UK call with calls rates from as little as 3p per minute. Select the country you wish to call from the list below for the access number and the rate charged.
Alternatively you can prepay for your calls and it costs as little as 1p per minute. For every minute you are on the phone 0.75p will be paid to the UK Free Software Network and we'll use that money to fund Free Software as per our raison d'etre. When making the international call there is a 5p call connection charge and calls are charged per minute. All Top-up calls are billed at your telecom providers relevant 0901 call rate. To find out the cost of calling from a service provider other than BT, contact your service provider directly; remember your service provider may have a minimum call or connection charge for all calls. Bill payers. permission must be obtained before dialing the 0901 number. Calling subject to availability.
If calling from a mobile phone remember to only press the call or send button after dialing the access number but not again after dialing the destination number. Charging for access numbers by your service provider is from the time of connection to the topup2talk service. Some calls to International mobiles, non-geographic numbers and foreign premium rate numbers are charged at different rates to that of the country. The national call rate does not include non-geographic numbers (e.g. 0645, 0845, and 0870). Savings are based on BT peak rates before promotions or discounts, as of 25/05/2003.
Top ups from any one phone number are limited to £20 in any one day and £50 over a 30 day rolling period. There is no cost for attempted top-ups after a limit has been exceeded.
The service is operated by Telco Global Ltd. who are regulated by ICSTIS.
