New ADSL Products

Below are details of the new ADSL products we will be introducing from the 30th of March 2009 to replace all existing ADSL products.

Each of the products listed below states the allowance in GB per month that is associated with the product for the chargeable period. The chargeable period for the Family products is Monday - Friday, 08:00 to midnight. For Business products the chargeable period is Monday - Friday, 08:00 to 20:00. Bandwidth usage outside these periods (ie at night during the week and all weekend) is not counted for the purposes of billing and allowances.

The prices above apply to MAX and ADSL2+ based connections. Connections based upon fixed rate (512Kb, 1Mb and 2Mb) connections are subject to a £2.00 per month surcharge.

Family products are listed with VAT inclusive pricing. Business products are listed with VAT exclusive pricing.

The concept of peak and off peak hours will no longer exist. Instead there will be a single charging period and a separate period during which we will not charge for usage. For Family connections the charging period will be Mon-Fri 08:00 to Midnight. For Business connections the charging period will be Mon-Fri 08:00 to 20:00. Hours outside of the charging period include the whole weekend.

Overusage Options

The overusage admin fee will no longer apply. Instead customers will be able to select to pay for usage over their regular allowance either by purchasing topups or by paying on an adhoc basis per GB used.

Adhoc charging: £1.25 per GB or part GB, expires at the end of the month.

Customers may set a monthly limit beyond which no more will be charged.

Top ups do not expire until the bandwidth is used.

If a customer has used more than their allowance and either not allowed any adhoc usage charges or has exhausted the extra bandwidth allowed for the customer connection the conneciton will be rate limited to 128kb/s and may continue to be used for a further 1GB at the lower speed following which the connection will be blocked until the start of the new billing period or until the customer purchases a top up.

Activation charge for new connections and migration from LLU: £40.00 (£46.00 inc VAT)
Regrade charge for switching between product types: £5.00 (£5.75 inc VAT).
ADSL Fasttrack (activate new connection within 48 hours): £140.00 (£161.00 inc VAT)
Enhanced Care (faster response and fix times for faults): £12.50 per month (£14.37 inc VAT)

SFI Charge (where BT state an engineer visit is chargable): £144.00 (£165.00 inc VAT)
